The Ultimate Travel Pack
Twenty years of sport and health dedication brought Premax to be the leader within the global sport & health industry. Specializing in skincare products they are today the favorite brand of many sports professionals and pro teams around the world.

Premax decided to launch a product bundle solution dedicated to both professionals and amateur sports travelers, with the collaboration of Madison as their UK distributor. To be launched just before spring/summer season the bundle needed a tailored packaging able to embody the scope of the products and engage consumers to inspire purchases.

As part of the Madison Marketing Team I designed an exciting and incisive packaging solution able to trigger an emotional and compelling connection between consumers and their favorite sports discipline.

LEARNING FROM EXPERIENCE

Most sports packaging seem to rely on the same old marketing recipe. A good amount of branding, plus a good sprinkle of minimalistic look and few technical aspects highlighted to position a particular product within a selected market. But sometimes the packaging needs some more help than a logo surrounded by the correct color scheme and a catchy line.

In busy sports shops, self-service is often the quickest solution for the grab and go client category. As a result, more often than not, the packaging needs to close the sale for the brand ‘s behalf.

Therefore a layout able to build a connection with consumers at an emotional level has been a key objective while taking on this packaging project.

CREATING CONNECTION

To create a sense of connection between consumers and their favorite sports discipline we used a well-crafted combination of action pictures highlighting the main sports connected to the products bundle: running, cycling and swimming.

Ingredients, how to use instructions, recycling methods, and so many other aspects must be declared within the packaging, label or leaflet. We identified the bottom of the box as the perfect area where to accommodate all these info.

OFFICIAL DEBUT

The Ultimate Travel Pack it’s been introduced during iceBike* 2019 the annual in-house trade show held by Madison Cycles. The packaging solution attracted curiosity and many inquiries from dealers which is a good start to pave the road to the success this product bundle deserves.
