Hey there, I'm Andrea, a designer originally made and raised in Italy. Currently, I live and work in the UK designing useful things mostly for the action-sports enthusiasts like me.

From 2001 I worked and collaborated with in-house teams, agencies, and corporate companies of various natures and purposes. In 2013 I moved from Italy to the UK and I decided to work mainly for the action-sports industry. As an ex-professional cyclist, I wanted to combine my main passion in life with my knowledge and hands-on experience with design.
Currently, I work as lead designer for the MADISON CYCLES marketing team, with core responsibilities around advertising management and B2C/B2B design production. I work across a broad range of brands including Shimano, Ridley, Lazer, Garmin, Continental, Park Tool, Pearl Izumi, DT Swiss, Kryptonite, USWE, Ogio, Thor, Maxxis, and Madison Clothing to name a few.
I have decided to take on some freelance projects during the last five years as well. As a solopreneur, my strategy and goal is to help my clients to uncover the real design needs they have first and then help them realize the perfect solutions to reach their objectives. Specializing in the action-sports industry, so far I have been involved with projects from international well-established clients like Vittoria Shoes and Helmets, Multipower and Betamotor, forward-thinking start-ups like Carbon Jewelry and Yacht Design International, long-running sports organizations like the Bike Trial International Union, and world athletes like 100% Brumotti.

Branding is not just about a logo. Of course, I design logos and brand identities, but what I excel at, is helping companies to define their personality and proposition, translating them into effective visuals that help to build consistent, long-lasting relationships with their communities.

THE CREATIVE PROCESS

STEP 1

Client Request

The client reach with a request for a new project.

STEP 2

Interview Session

I do run an interview session with the client to understand the scope of the project and uncover useful insights about their goals, checking if there is the need for a deeper investigation

STEP 3

Idea Translation

Together with the client, we will need to prioritize and organize all the answers in order to translate them into collections of visuals, like images, illustrations together with words, color palettes, and graphic styles

STEP 4

Agreement

The visuals will be presented to the client and discussed together to confirm and reflect the client perceptions of the work

STEP 5

Draft Time

Based on our agreements I will start to literally sketch out the project. Draft edits will be shown to the client for a final confirmation on the idea.

STEP 6

Production

After client approval, I will produce a tailored and targeted artwork. Developing my sketches into a final design taking into account the visual and the drafts I made to purposely serve the needs of the client
